U-77

Hull #7207

This hull made its debut in 1972 as the U-7 Notre Dame. It was campaigned for 10 years, and ran under a variety of names, including the U-76 Miss Northwest Tank Service, U-77 Spirit of Dayton-Walther, and U-20 Captran Resorts. The hull is now owned by Paul LaMarre Jr., of Lincoln Park, MI, with hopes of restoration.

In 1976, Dave "Salt" Walther drove the boat as it participated in one race at the Dayton Hydroglobe. The team finished 8th, which contributed to a 15th place finish in national high points.
