June 15
Location: Twin Lakes Park, Marysville, WA
Contest Director: R/CU Board
Car Procedure
At Marysville, we are only allowed two vehicles in and out of the park at a time. We will have a baton in the parking lot, at the gate entrace to the park. If you have the baton, you are allowed to enter the park and drive to the pits. Once in the pits, please offload your equipment quickly, and drive to the parking lot. You can pass your baton to the next car in line. If you do not have a baton, you CANNOT enter the park!
The same procedure works for packing up at the end of the day. Please organize your equipment in a way that you can easily pack up and offload your car, and minimize your time in the park, as there will be many people trying to get in.
R/CU highly recommends taking home all trailers and leaving minimal equipment at the race site overnight, due to recent thefts.
We ask electric-only racers to pit closer to the parking lot, as nitro and gas racers appreciate having shorter walks to the lake.
Parking
R/CU racers do NOT need to pay parking, as R/CU rents the site. See the article here: https://www.heraldnet.com/news/5-parking-fee-coming-to-gissberg-twin-rivers-county-parks/
.
Saturday
The trailer will arrive early, between 6:00 and 6:30. Please plan on arriving early, as there will be many, many drivers and cars that need to drive into the pits. Please assist with the course and scaffolding setup; the more hands that assist with that, the quicker we can open the racecourse for testing.
Testing will begin following the setup and last for approximately 2 hours. It will involve both clockwise and counterclockwise running.
There will be a large driver's meeting with all racers, then it will be racing throughout the day!
