Hull #9401
The LLumar first came to life in 1994 as the ill-fated three-wing Miss Budweiser. Mark Evans piloted the flighty craft, which the team shelved after two years. The boat was converted into a conventional hull, and Bill Wurster acquired the boat and campaigned it under the LLumar sponsorship from 2003-2005. Mark Evans and JW Myers graced the cockpit, with Evans suffering a broken leg in a huge flip in Detroit. The hull was sold to Billy and Jane Schumacher, who ran it until 2010. The boat was destroyed when it ran into the seawall in Detroit after losing a skid fin. The U-11 Unlimited Racing Group restored the boat to racing condition, and currently competes it to this day.
In 2003, Mark Evans returned to the cockpit as the pilot for the Llumar. He drove the boat in all five races, before flipping in Detroit and breaking his leg. The highlight of the year was a victory in the Tri-Cities. The team finished sixth in national high points.
