The #8255 hull was one of the most-sponsored boats in history. The unique wingless boat campaigned under a variety of owners until its retirement in 1992.

In the white and blue configuration, the boat raced in San Diego in prepartion for the World Championship race, held in Houston. John Prevost piloted the boat, but it did not start a heat at the one race in this paint scheme. The boat as a whole finished 9th in national high points in 1983.
