The Charlie's Girl started life as the ill-fated Miss Tri-Cities with an automotive engine that failed to deliver to its promise. It failed to qualify as its only appearance as the Charlie's Girl in Seattle, with Bob Maschmedt at the wheel. The boat continued under a variety of sponsors and owners (including the Evans brothers) thru the early 1980s.
