U-146

Hull #8255

One of the most-sponsored hulls in history, the Heartbreakers Gentlemen's Club was born in 1982 as the U-8 Executone. The famous aluminum wingless boat raced with a variety of color schemes and sponsors over its career, finally donning vertical and horiztonal stabilizers in 1984. The boat adopted a new number (U-146) and color scheme with a cockpit in 1989, and was raced until 1992.

In 1989, Steve David drove the boat as it competed under a different sponsor for nearly every race. The boat raced as the Heartbreakers Gentleman's Club at the opening race in Houston, taking 8th at the race en route to an 8th place finish in national high points.
