The Miss Elam Plus began life as the brand-new Spirit of Qatar in 2014, as the last boat from the Ellstrom family. Kip Brown drove the boat, but it flipped in its second race at Seattle. Jean Theoret took over the driving duties in 2015, as the team competed in four of the five races. The boat took a second place in Seattle, and finished 7th in national high points. It now runs as part of the Strong Racing effort.
