Hull #8401

This version of the Circus Circus began life in 1984 as the first turbine-powered Atlas Van Lines for Fran Muncey's team. The boat was configured with a cockpit and raced under the Miller American and Miller High Life sponsorships through the 1980s, and was painted as the Circus Circus for the 1988 season.

In 1989, the team campaigned the #8700 hull for the majority of the year, but elected to use this hull for the Washington swing in the Tri-Cities and Seattle. It was fruitful in Seattle, as the team won with Chip Hanauer at the wheel. The team finished 2nd in national high points with the two hulls.
