The Miss Budweiser backup boat was one of the more unique boats campaigned by Bernie Little's team, primarily due to its one-off nature. Originally built in 1972 as the Notre Dame, the boat was rushed into duty when the Griffon Bud was damaged during a crash in Seattle. Ron Snyder had a stint at the wheel, before Dean Chenoweth drove the boat at the last race of the season in San Diego, where the team finished 7th to maintain the national championship.
