The Miss Mark and Pak originally came to life as the Miss Tri-Cities in 1977, with an unsuccessful attempt at running an automotive engine. The boat had marginal success over a variety of owners, paint schemes, and sponsors over the years, with its last run in 1984.

In 1978 the boat ran as the Miss Tri-Cities Mark and Pak in the Tri-Cities for its only appearance of the year. With Neal Yapachino at the wheel, the team failed to qualify.
