Hull #7325

The Winged Wonder was one of the most distinct hydroplanes of the 1970s and beyond, and certainly had the career to back it up. Driven by Mickey Remund and George Henley, the boat had a highly successful life as the three-time champion, two-time Gold Cup winner, and overall 16-time winner over the three years it had the Pay'n Pak sponsorship. Bill Muncey raced it as the Atlas Van Lines in 1976, then the Miss Madison team took it over and raced it until 1988. The boat was recently restored and is still being run by the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum in Kent, WA as the Pay'n Pak.

In 1976, Bill Muncey drove the boat with the unique Atlas paint scheme. It won five races and the championship before the team sold the boat to focus on the new cabover Blue Blaster.
