The Red Man Too first came to life in 1971 as the Country Boy, before picking up sponsorship from the Red Man Chewing Tobacco company. The boat ran under a variety of sponsorships through the rest of the 1970s and early 1980s, and it last ran as Feek's Beepers in 1983.

In 1973, George Henley and Jim McCormick drove the boat as it ran in the last four races of the season. The boat had its best finish at the last race in Detroit, finishing 3rd. The boat finished 12th in national high points.
