This hull made its debut in 1972 as the Notre Dame. After running the year in 1972, it did not run in 1973. Under new ownership in 1974, the boat ran under a variety of sponsorships, including this unsponsored livery. The boat continued to run under a few owners until 1982, when it retired as the Captran Resorts.

In 1974, Tom Sheehy and Roger D'Eath drove the boat. It competed in all eleven races in the year, finishing a best of 3rd in Phoenix. It finished 7th in national high points.
